Suggested months to visit are highlighted in orange.<\/p>\n<p>Recommendations for <strong>Cappadocia<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The weather is cool during the evenings, even during the summer so be sure to take a shawl, long sleeves, socks, and hoodies.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; If you don&#8217;t already have a museum card, invest in one.<\/li>\n<li>Include art events going on in the area into your itinerary.<\/li>\n<li>If you don&#8217;t have a car, then you&#8217;ll find it difficult to get around. If you&#8217;re thinking of renting a car, then make a music playlist or CD that you&#8217;ll be able to listen to during your journey.<\/li>\n<li>When you&#8217;re on long walks or hikes, make sure to pick up after yourself and pick up trash if you see any. And while you can\u2019t enter most hotels during sunrise it is usually possible to visit afterwards. During sunrise and the hot air balloon event they want to ensure their guests have the best time of course. Then again, it can never hurt to ask!<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ranitravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Tastes-of-Cappadocia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5140 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ranitravel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Tastes-of-Cappadocia-370x260.jpg\" alt=\"Tastes of Cappadocia\" width=\"370\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Typical for people who travel to Cappadocia is that they stay in a cave hotel overlooking the town of G\u00f6reme. I\u2019ve selected the best ones for you where I am sure you\u2019ll not only have an amazing time but where you\u2019ll also be able to take beautiful photos and make memories that last a lifetime!<br \/>\n<strong>Mithra Cave Hotel \u2013<\/strong> Located on one of the top levels in G\u00f6reme and offering a spectacular view over the entire valley. The owner is super nice and he owns several cute dogs that roam around the property!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sultan Cave Suites \u2013<\/strong> This is probably the most photographed hotel in Cappadocia. Known for inviting influencers from all over the place to promote their property.<br \/>\n<strong>Local Cave House Hotel \u2013<\/strong> Known for its pool which can come in handy on those sizzling hot Turkish afternoons.<\/p>\n<h2>Where to Exchange Currency<\/h2>\n<p>The unit of currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TL).<br \/>\nBased on my research, the only true currency exchange offices in Cappadocia are in Nev\u015fehir. There are none in the popular tourist towns of G\u00f6reme, \u00dcrg\u00fcp, or U\u00e7hisar.<br \/>\nThe only bank outside of Nev\u015fehir is Denizbank in G\u00f6reme. Other than that, I\u2019ve read that jewelry shops can exchange your currency as well though you\u2019ll need to be familiar with the day\u2019s exchange rate.<br \/>\nIf you\u2019d rather not carry too much foreign currency with you, then a better alternative might be to withdraw TL from an ATM. The rates are competitive.<br \/>\nBe sure to let your bank know that you intend to use your ATM card abroad, as it may need to be activated for overseas use. That\u2019s what I do before every trip.
